The making of it
The polite cousin of Multani Mitti — same instinct, far less force. Rose kaolin is a fine, soft clay that draws without stripping. The rose absolute is from Kannauj, where they have been distilling it for four hundred years. For skin that is oily but also, confusingly, sensitive. The bar we are proudest of, and the one that costs us the most to make.
Melt and pour, which means there is no cure and nothing waits on a rack. The base goes to 60°C — hotter and the glycerin scorches — the actives are stirred in off the heat so they survive it, and it sets in three or four hours. Made this week, sold this week.

How to use it
- 01Lather in wet hands or on a cloth.
- 02Work over the body, rinse.
- 03Keep it on a draining dish. A bar left in water dies young.
- 04Between uses, let it dry fully — glycerin draws water, so a wet bar stays wet.
