The making of it
Papain does the work. It is the enzyme in papaya, and it loosens dead skin without any scrubbing at all. Ground orange peel then gives it somewhere to go. A light, honest scratch — nowhere near the coffee bar, more of a suggestion. The fruit is pulped fresh into the batch, so the colour is never quite the same twice.
Melt and pour, which means there is no cure and nothing waits on a rack. The base goes to 60°C — hotter and the glycerin scorches — the actives are stirred in off the heat so they survive it, and it sets in three or four hours. Made this week, sold this week.
